GrowReach — Brand Voice Guide

Grounded in:
01-competitor-branding-linqin.md(this folder) — competitive landscape, category patterns02-target-audience.md(this folder) — audience personas (Elena 30%, Sophie 30%, Daniel 20%, Marcus 20%), language, voice implications03-brand-positioning.md(this folder) — positioning as "AI comments-to-leads agent," proof points with real metrics, UGC video strategybrand-strategy/linqin-full-brand-analysis.md— Linqin's reconstructed voice guide (reference, not a constraint)
Positioning context: GrowReach is an AI comments-to-leads agent on LinkedIn. 1,100+ users, 37,356+ comments generated, 67% reply rate, 36% comment-to-lead rate, 875+ demos booked, 342+ deals closed, NPS 8.7. The voice must reflect a product that has real traction and real proof. Not a Stage 0 product projecting confidence it doesn't have.
01 — VOICE OVERVIEW
GrowReach sounds like the sharpest person in your founder Slack group. The one who's actually done it, not the one who's selling you a course. It's direct without being aggressive, warm without being soft, and confident without being cocky. It speaks operator-to-operator: "here's what works, here's why, here's the proof." It talks to you like a colleague who just closed a deal because of a comment they left three weeks ago. And wants to show you exactly how.
GrowReach's voice is proof-first and conversation-oriented. Every claim is backed by a number. And we have the numbers. 67% of our comments get replies. 36% lead to warm inbound leads. 875+ demos booked. 342+ deals closed. The voice assumes the audience is smart. It doesn't over-explain, doesn't pad, and never wastes a sentence. It names the problem ("likes are vanity") without being negative. It's warm. Not in a "we care about you" corporate way, but in a "we've been in your shoes and here's what actually works" way.
The core message is about auto-commenting thoughtfully on key conversations your prospects are paying attention to. It's about showing up in conversations your prospects are paying attention to and becoming visible as an expert. The result: warm inbound leads that come to you. Not leads you chase. Leads that come to you because you showed up in the right places, consistently, with something useful to say.
The product backs this voice with a 4-module architecture: Commenting (builds a Final Commenting Strategy from 5 inputs: Target Users, Target Topics, Commenting Voice, My AI Persona, Comment Filters. Auto-Comment or Manual Review mode), Leads (Heat Score with HOT/WARM indicators, pipeline stages from New to Won, Lead Reach Out with drafted personalized connection requests), Post Boost (reciprocity network for first-hour engagement), and Team Management (manager seats, LinkedIn account slots, client invite links, billing. Agency-ready). The voice should reference these modules naturally, not as a feature list. They are the proof that GrowReach is a platform, not a tool.
We can use anti-hustle framing ("show up without living on LinkedIn"), quiet autopilot language ("set it and let it work"), or hustle framing ("turn your LinkedIn into a pipeline machine"). Whichever serves the audience in context. We're not constrained by what Linqin or any competitor has claimed. We use our own lingo: "comments to leads," "borrowed attention," "piggyback reach," "passes the human test," "learns your style," "closes the loop," "warm inbound leads," "key conversations," "Heat Score," "Post Boost," "Final Commenting Strategy," "Commenting Voice," "Auto-Comment," "Manual Review," "Lead Reach Out," "Team Management."
Tagline options (Rahul's finalized):
- Option 1: "Turn thoughtful comments into warm inbound leads that come to you."
- Option 2: "The Linked Agent that comments thoughtfully on key conversations, turning them into warm inbound leads."
Voice Essence: "GrowReach sounds like the sharpest operator in your founder group. Direct, warm, proof-first. Auto-commenting thoughtfully on key conversations to turn them into warm inbound leads that come to you."
02 — TONE DIMENSIONS
Dimension 1: Formality — Casual ←——→ Formal
Position: Casual side, but not sloppy. Closer to a well-written LinkedIn post than a corporate press release.
What this means in practice: Contractions are standard. Sentences are short. The writing reads like someone talking. Not someone filing a report. But it's not slangy, not "bro," and never unprofessional. Think: a senior growth lead explaining something to a peer, not a marketer writing a landing page.
Example:
"You don't need more likes. You need more conversations. GrowReach auto-comments thoughtfully on key conversations your prospects are paying attention to. Those comments turn into warm inbound leads that come to you."
Dimension 2: Energy — Calm ←——→ Energetic
Position: Energetic side, but not frantic. More "let's go" than "calm autopilot." The audience is revenue-focused. They want momentum, not zen.
What this means in practice: GrowReach is active, forward-leaning, and momentum-driven. The voice creates a sense of "this is happening, and you should be part of it." But it's not hype-driven. The energy comes from proof and specificity, not exclamation marks. We can use quiet-autopilot framing when describing the product experience ("set it and let it work"), but the brand voice itself is energetic.
Example:
"Every comment GrowReach Agent writes thoughtfully on key conversations triggers a conversation. Every conversation is tracked to a warm inbound lead. Every warm inbound lead is tracked to a meeting on your calendar. From comments to warm inbound leads that come to you, we see through the results."
Dimension 3: Humor — Serious ←——→ Witty
Position: Occasionally witty, but humor is never the point. Dry observations, not jokes. The humor comes from stating the obvious that nobody else will say.
What this means in practice: GrowReach uses observational wit. Pointing out absurdities in the category without being mean. Humor is a spice, not the main course. One witty line per page, max. The humor should make the audience nod, not laugh.
Example:
"Most tools show you impressions. Congratulations. You have a number. We show you which thoughtful comment led to which warm inbound lead. That's THE number that matters."
Dimension 4: Expertise — Accessible ←——→ Authoritative
Position: Authoritative but accessible. The voice knows what it's talking about. It's been in the trenches. But it doesn't lecture or condescend.
What this means in practice: The audience (founders, heads of growth, agency owners) is smart and skeptical. They don't want to be educated from above; they want to be leveled with. The voice uses specific language ("warm inbound leads," "comments-to-leads," "key conversations," "becoming visible as an expert") without explaining every term. It assumes the audience knows the lingo. But when it makes a claim, it backs it with proof. Authority comes from specificity and evidence, not from assertions of superiority.
Example:
"We analyzed what makes a comment start a conversation versus get glanced over. Three things: it adds a specific insight (not a generic compliment), it references the post's actual content (not the headline), and it ends with something that invites a reply. GrowReach does all three, every time. 67% of our comments get replies. That's becoming visible as an expert, not just being noisy."
Dimension 5: Warmth — Distant ←——→ Intimate
Position: Warm and peer-level, but not over-familiar. The voice feels like a trusted colleague, not a friend or a therapist.
What this means in practice: GrowReach is warm, direct, and "in it with you." The voice uses "you" liberally. It acknowledges the audience's pain because it's been there. But it doesn't coddle. It doesn't say "we know it's hard" in a pitying way. It says "we've been there, here's the way out."
Example:
"You're spending 2 hours a day finding relevant posts and commenting on LinkedIn. You know it works. You've gotten deals from it. But you also know it doesn't scale. GrowReach auto-comments thoughtfully on key conversations so you keep the quality without burning out. Warm inbound leads come to you."
03 — VOICE QUALITIES
Quality 1: Direct
What it means for GrowReach: Say what you mean. No hedging, no padding, no corporate softening. If likes are vanity, say "likes are vanity." The audience values directness. They're operators, not diplomats.
Do: "GrowReach closes the loop from thoughtful comment to warm inbound lead. No other tool does. That's not a knock. It's a fact." Don't: "While some tools focus exclusively on LinkedIn, GrowReach offers a comprehensive approach that may better serve your needs."
Quality 2: Proof-First
What it means for GrowReach: Every claim has evidence. Not "amazing results." "67% of our comments get replies. 36% become warm inbound leads. 875+ demos booked." We have the numbers. Use them.
Do: "Here's a comment GrowReach wrote. Here's the same post commented on by a generic AI tool. Can you tell which is which? Your prospects can't either. 67% of our comments get replies. That's the human test, passed." Don't: "Our AI produces incredibly human-like comments that will amaze your audience!"
Quality 3: Conversation-Oriented
What it means for GrowReach: The voice itself should model what GrowReach wants comments to be. It should start conversations, not just broadcast. Ask questions. Invite engagement. Don't just assert. Provoke thought. The brand's voice is the best demonstration of the product's value.
Do: "Ask yourself: when was the last time a thoughtful comment you wrote on a key conversation led to a warm inbound lead? If you can't remember, you're tracking the wrong metric." Don't: "GrowReach helps you generate more engagement and increase your LinkedIn visibility."
Quality 4: Confident (Not Quiet)
What it means for GrowReach: GrowReach has 1,100+ users, and 342+ deals closed from comments. The voice reflects that traction. It doesn't whisper or hedge. It states what it does and backs it with numbers. But it's not arrogant. Confidence comes from proof, not from bravado.
Do: "1,100+ operators use GrowReach to turn thoughtful comments into warm inbound leads. 92% see a warm inbound lead within 7 days." Don't: "We're early, but we think GrowReach might help you with your LinkedIn engagement."
Quality 5: Warm
What it means for GrowReach: The voice should feel like it's coming from someone who's been in the audience's shoes. Not a vendor, not a platform, not a "solution provider." It's a peer who found a way and wants to share it.
Do: "We built GrowReach to boost our own leads pipeline without having to spend 2 hours a day commenting on LinkedIn. We knew it worked. We just couldn't keep up consistently. So we built the tool to solve our own itch." Don't: "GrowReach is an AI-powered engagement automation platform designed to optimize your social selling workflow."
Quality 6: Specific
What it means for GrowReach: Never use generic language when specific language is available. Not "grow your LinkedIn." "Turn thoughtful comments into warm inbound leads." Not "increase engagement." "67% of comments get replies." Not "save time." "90 minutes a day down to 10." Specificity is proof that you know what you're talking about.
Do: "GrowReach learns your style from your last 50 posts & comments. Then it auto-comments thoughtfully on key conversations. Comments that sound like you on your best day. Not like generic ChatGPT with no context." Don't: "GrowReach uses advanced AI technology to generate personalized content that resonates with your audience."

| 23 | Final Commenting Strategy | The culmination of 5 inputs (Target Users, Target Topics, Commenting Voice, My AI Persona, Comment Filters) that defines each LinkedIn account's comment strategy. Not a "setting." A strategy |

Words we avoid:
| # | Word / phrase | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Supercharge / skyrocket / revolutionary / game-changing | Generic SaaS hype. The audience discounts this instantly |
| 2 | World-class / cutting-edge | Meaningless filler |
| 3 | AI-powered (as a standalone claim) | Everything is AI-powered. Show the output, not the technology |
| 4 | Solution (as a noun for our product) | Corporate-speak. We say "tool" or "agent" |
| 5 | Empower / enable (as verbs) | Corporate filler. Use direct verbs: "helps," "does," "turns" |
| 6 | Engagement (as a success metric) | Too generic. We say "conversations" because that's what we measure |
| 7 | Great post! | The enemy. This is what GrowReach replaces |
| 8 | Exclamation marks | The voice is confident, not excited |
| 9 | Hashtags in body copy | Off-brand for a direct voice |
| 10 | Not a channel for GrowReach. LinkedIn only. Never reference Reddit in any copy, example, or channel adaptation |
Category patterns (usable but not differentiating on their own):
These are NOT banned. They're widely used in the category and still resonate with audiences. We can use them or improved versions, but we don't lead with them as differentiators.
| Pattern | Status | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| "Autopilot" | 7+ tools use it | Usable in support. "Set it on autopilot and review when you want." Don't make it the headline |
| "In your voice" | 7 tools claim it | Table stakes. We say "learns your style" as our framing, but "in your voice" is fine in casual contexts |
| "Grow your LinkedIn" | Universal pattern | Usable in support, not as the hero promise |
| "Safe" | Multiple tools claim it | We go further: "we guarantee no blocks on your account" |
| "Anti-hustle" / "quiet autopilot" | Linqin popularized these | Fair game. These concepts resonate. We can use them if they serve the audience. Linqin doesn't own them |
| "Show up every day" | Category pattern | Usable. It's a universal truth about LinkedIn, not any brand's property |
Brand-specific language:
| Term | Usage |
|---|---|
| "Comments to leads" | The category term. Used everywhere: "the comments-to-leads agent," "turn thoughtful comments into warm inbound leads." Explicit. No DM confusion |
| "The warm lead loop" | Shorthand for GrowReach's closed comment → conversation → warm inbound lead → pipeline loop. Used as a noun: "Close the loop." |
| "Warm inbound lead" | A prospect or LinkedIn user who warmly reciprocated and engaged with one of your comments, showing inclination to the topic/problem/solution discussed in your comment or the original post. The #1 term from the inbound lead gen guide |
| "Style" (not "voice") | GrowReach "learns your style." Not "copies your voice." Style is broader: tone, vocabulary, sentence structure, humor, perspective |
| "Operators" | How GrowReach refers to its users. Not "users," "customers," or "members." Operators are people who get things done |
| "Human test" | The quality bar for comments. "Would a human have written this?" Used as a proof point: "Every comment passes the human test." |
| "Borrowed attention" | How commenting works. You leverage the reach of a conversation that's already moving. Central term (replaces Linqin's "borrowed reach") |
| "Piggyback reach" | Casual version of borrowed attention. "Your comment piggybacks on the post's existing audience" |
| "Guarantee no blocks" | The safety promise. We take responsibility for your account's safety. No scary disclaimers about "risk." |
| "Likes are vanity, replies are pipeline" | The core reframe. Reach is important (it's in our name: Grow-Reach), but likes alone don't pay the bills. Replies do. |
| "Auto-commenting thoughtfully" | The feature set language. GrowReach doesn't just "comment." It auto-comments thoughtfully on key conversations. The thoughtfulness is the differentiator |
| "Key conversations" | The right LinkedIn posts your prospects are reading and engaging with. Not every post. The ones that matter for reaching your ICP by piggybacking on someone else's post |
| "Becoming visible as an expert" | The authority-building outcome. When you show up consistently in key conversations with thoughtful comments, you become visible as an expert. Prospects start recognizing you |
| "Warm inbound leads that come to you" | The full promise. Not leads you chase. Leads that come to you because you showed up in the right places, consistently, with something useful to say |
| "Heat Score" | The 0-100 scoring system: replies +50, questions +60, likes +20, ICP match +20. Higher score means warmer prospect. Used to prioritize follow-up |
| "Post Boost" | The reciprocal network feature. GrowReach users engage with each other's posts automatically. Boosts reach within the community. Network effect for all users |
| "Final Commenting Strategy" | The strategy GrowReach builds from 5 inputs. Not a "setting" or a "configuration." A strategy. Used as a noun: "GrowReach builds your Final Commenting Strategy from 5 inputs" |
| "Commenting Voice" | The configuration page. Used as a proper noun: "Set up your Commenting Voice to define how the AI should contribute to conversations" |
| "My AI Persona" | The professional identity page. Used as a proper noun: "My AI Persona is the credibility substrate for every comment" |
| "Auto-Comment" / "Manual Review" | The two commenting modes. Used as proper nouns: "Choose Auto-Comment or Manual Review" |
| "Lead Reach Out" | The feature that drafts personalized connection requests. Used as a proper noun: "Lead Reach Out drafts a connection request with full conversation context" |
| "Team Management" | The agency/team module. Used as a proper noun: "Team Management lets you manage 20+ LinkedIn accounts from one dashboard" |
05 — WRITING STYLE RULES
| Rule | GrowReach standard |
|---|---|
| Sentence length | Short to medium. One idea per sentence. Mix in an occasional longer sentence for rhythm, but default to punchy. No run-ons. |
| Punctuation | NEVER use em-dashes. They sound AI-written. Use periods for punch. Use bold or italics for emphasis. No exclamation marks (ever. The voice is confident, not excited). No hashtags in body copy. |
| Capitalization | Sentence case for everything. Title case for feature names only ("Commenting Voice," "My AI Persona," "Comment Filters," "Final Commenting Strategy," "Heat Score," "Post Boost," "Lead Reach Out," "Team Management," "Auto-Comment," "Manual Review"). Never ALL CAPS for emphasis. Use italics or bold formatting. |
| Numbers | Always numerals, always specific. "90 minutes," not "an hour and a half." "67%," not "two-thirds." "875+ demos," not "hundreds of demos." We have real numbers. Use them. |
| Contractions | Yes, always. "You don't," "we're," "it's." No contractions = corporate. Contractions = human. |
| Active vs passive | Active, always. "GrowReach turns thoughtful comments into warm inbound leads." Not "thoughtful comments are turned into warm inbound leads by GrowReach." The agent is the subject. |
| Humor | Allowed but don't overdo it. Observational, not jokes. One witty line per section, max. Never at the expense of the audience. Never sarcastic. |
| Proof in every claim | Every assertion should have a number, an example, or a visual. "67% reply rate" not "high engagement." "875+ demos" not "lots of pipeline." We have the data. Use it. |
06 — CHANNEL ADAPTATIONS
| Channel | Tone adjustment | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Website homepage | Direct, proof-first, momentum-driven. The most energetic version of the voice. Lead with the tagline and comments-to-leads promise, back it with real metrics. | "Turn thoughtful comments into warm inbound leads that come to you. 67% of our comments get replies. 36% become warm inbound leads. 875+ demos booked. That's the loop." |
| Social media (LinkedIn) | Peer-to-peer, conversation-starting. Ask questions, share insights, show real examples. The voice IS the product demonstration. | "We tracked 37,356 comments to their outcomes. 67% got replies. 36% became warm inbound leads. 875+ demos booked. Here's what the 67% did differently. They auto-commented thoughtfully on key conversations." |
| Email marketing | Direct, specific, time-sensitive. Short. One idea per email. Proof in every email. | "This thoughtful comment on a key conversation earned 3 warm inbound leads in 48 hours. Here's the breakdown." |
| Customer support | Helpful, human, direct. No corporate scripts. Answer the question directly, admit when something is broken. | "Yeah, that's a bug. We're on it. Should be fixed in the next hour. I'll email you when it's live." |
| Error messages / UI copy | Clear, calm, specific. No "oops!" or "something went wrong." Say exactly what happened and what to do next. | "Your daily comment limit is reached. We cap at 20/day to keep your account healthy. You can adjust this in Settings." |
| Paid ads | Short, punchy, contrarian. Lead with the reframe ("likes are vanity") and the proof. | "Likes are vanity. Replies are pipeline. 67% of GrowReach comments get replies on key conversations. Try free." |
| Sales deck | Proof-first, data-heavy. The most formal version of the voice. But still direct and conversational. Reference the 4-module architecture. | "Here's the loop: thoughtful comment on key conversation, conversation, warm inbound lead with Heat Score, Lead Reach Out with drafted connection request, pipeline. New, Reached Out, Connected, Won. 875+ demos booked. 342+ deals closed. 4 modules: Commenting, Leads, Post Boost, Team Management. Here's the proof." |
| Agency outreach | Practical, ROI-focused, scale-oriented. Speak to Sophie's multi-client reality. Reference Team Management features: manager seats, LinkedIn account slots, client invite links. | "Every client gets their own Commenting Voice. Every client gets their own pipeline report. Manage 20+ LinkedIn accounts from one dashboard with Team Management. Client invite links let clients securely connect their own accounts. 1,100+ operators use GrowReach to auto-comment thoughtfully on key conversations at scale." |

Then it auto-comments thoughtfully on key conversations. Not 'Great post!' A comment that makes people want to reply. 67% of our comments do. That's becoming visible as an expert."

Example 3: Social proof section
Before (off-brand):
"Trusted by thousands of professionals worldwide, GrowReach has revolutionized LinkedIn engagement with its world-class AI technology."

Before (off-brand):
"Our advanced lead scoring algorithm assigns dynamic engagement scores to prospect interactions, enabling prioritized outreach based on quantitative behavioral indicators."
After (on-brand):

Example 9: Commenting Strategy explanation
Before (off-brand):
"Our sophisticated AI engine utilizes multi-dimensional configuration parameters to generate contextually relevant comments aligned with your professional identity and strategic objectives."
After (on-brand):
"GrowReach builds your Final Commenting Strategy from 5 inputs. Target Users: who you want to be noticed by. Target Topics: what conversations matter. Commenting Voice: how you want to sound. My AI Persona: your professional identity. Comment Filters: what to skip. Then it auto-comments thoughtfully on key conversations. Or you review each comment first. Your call."
Why it works: Specific, names all 5 inputs, uses feature language ("Final Commenting Strategy," "Auto-Comment," "Manual Review"), gives user control, no jargon, no em-dashes.
Example 10: Team Management explanation
Before (off-brand):
"Leverage our enterprise-grade multi-account management infrastructure to seamlessly orchestrate LinkedIn engagement across your entire client portfolio."
After (on-brand):
"Manage 20+ LinkedIn accounts from one dashboard. Manager seats for your team. LinkedIn account slots for each client. Client invite links so clients connect their own accounts securely. Per-client pipeline reports. Per-client Commenting Voice. That's Team Management."
Why it works: Specific features (manager seats, account slots, client invites), uses "Team Management" as proper noun, plain language, no hype, no em-dashes.
Example 11: Lead Reach Out explanation
Before (off-brand):
"Our intelligent outreach automation system initiates personalized connection requests based on algorithmic analysis of engagement signals and contextual relevance."
After (on-brand):
"When a prospect becomes a warm inbound lead, GrowReach doesn't just flag them. It drafts a personalized connection request with the full context: the original post, your comment, their reply. You review it. You send it. That's Lead Reach Out."
Why it works: Explains the feature in human terms, uses "Lead Reach Out" as proper noun, emphasizes the context (post, comment, reply), gives user control, no jargon, no em-dashes.
08 — THINGS WE NEVER SAY
| # | What we never say | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | "World-class," "revolutionary," "game-changing," "cutting-edge" | Hollow hype. The audience immediately discounts this language |
| 2 | "Skyrocket," "supercharge," "explode your growth" | Generic SaaS hype. Signals "just another tool" |
| 3 | "Great post!" | The enemy. This is what GrowReach replaces. Never use it, even ironically, in marketing copy. |
| 4 | "AI-powered" (as a standalone claim) | Everything is AI-powered. It's not a differentiator. Show the output, not the technology. |
| 5 | "Engagement" (as a success metric) | Too generic. We say "conversations" because that's what we actually measure. |
| 6 | "Solution" (as a noun for our product) | Corporate-speak. We say "tool" or "agent." Never "solution." |
| 7 | "Empower," "enable" (as verbs) | Corporate filler. Use direct verbs: "helps," "does," "turns." |
| 8 | Exclamation marks | The voice is confident, not excited. Exclamation marks signal hype, not proof. |
| 9 | Hashtags in body copy | Off-brand for a direct voice. Hashtags belong in social posts, not in product copy. |
| 10 | "Borrowed reach" | Linqin's term. We use "borrowed attention," "piggyback reach," or "leverage existing attention." |
| 11 | Scary disclaimers about "risk" | Don't scare off overthinkers. We guarantee no blocks. That's the message. No "we're honest about the risk" framing. |
| 12 | Em-dashes in any copy | Rahul says they sound AI-written. Use periods, bold, or italics instead. This applies to ALL copy examples in ALL docs. |
| 13 | "Reddit" or any Reddit reference | GrowReach is LinkedIn only. Never reference Reddit in any copy, example, or channel adaptation. |
| 14 | "Turn comments into pipeline" | Replaced by finalized tagline. Use "Turn thoughtful comments into warm inbound leads that come to you." |
09 — VOICE BY PERSONA
The voice adapts slightly depending on which persona we're speaking to. The core voice stays the same (direct, warm, proof-first), but the emphasis shifts:
